Yu-Gi-Oh Gen-Con Badge Tournament

This Sunday, July 21st, is Yugioh's Gen-Con Badge Tournament. Sign ups are 12pm and the tournament starts at 1pm. It's $10 entry and players will receive 2 Astral Packs. Per Konami, the event will be administered as a Swiss Draw, Advanced format tournament, with a cut to the Top Four players.
Prizes are as follows:
1st place:  Gen Con Badge Pass and 10 packs of Battle Pack: Epic Dawn
2nd place: 10 packs of Battle Pack: Epic Dawn
3rd and 4th place: 5 packs of Battle Pack: Epic Dawn

Yu-Gi-Oh Number Hunters


Yu-Gi-Oh Number Hunters is on sale, tomorrow Friday, July 12th. The new set consists of 25 new Xyz Monsters, among them being 9 mysterious Number Monsters and 6 new CXyz monsters can be speed summoned by using new Rank-Up-Magic spell cards. The set will also have 14 new Effect Monsters from Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, as well as 6 new Spell/Trap cards, 5 new, (non-Zexal) cards that include famous cards from the original television series. There will also be 10 previously released Zexal cards reprinted as foil cards. This set will also feature new cards for the following archtypes: Butterspy, Chronomaly, Gimmick Puppet, Heroic Challenger, and Number. The set has 40 Super Rares, and 20 Secret Rares. Each booster pack will contain five cards, which consists of 4 Super Rares and 1 Secret Rare. Be sure to stop by TimeZone Gaming to grab your Number Hunters pack before they all sell out. This set has quite the interesting cards like Box of Friends and Princess Cologne (pictured below).

Magic 2014 Pre Release

Every year Wizards of the Coast adds a new core set to Magic the Gathering. This time  it's the release of Magic 2014. As with every set that's released, there comes a worldwide pre-release tournament. TimeZone Gaming of Fords, NJ will be holding the Magic 2014 Pre-Release Tournament on Friday, July 12th until Sunday, July 14th. Pre-release is a sealed deck tournament. Each player will receive six packs of the new Magic 2014, and will then build a 40 card minimum deck. The structure will be Swiss rounds, cut to Top 8. The store will also provide basic lands, but are to be returned to the store as players leave. Each player also receives a Magic 2014 Megantic Sliver Promo Card featured here:

Magic 2014 WEEKEND SEALED EVENTS
Entry Fee: $25.00 per player
Format: Magic 2014 Sealed. Players will receive six packs of Magic 2014. You then build a minimum 40 card deck with cards ONLY from these packs.
Structure: Swiss rounds , Cut to Top 8
