Board Games Just Got Better!

Aww Yeah! Just when you thought there couldn't be anymore board games made, new ones are popping up all over the place. My favorite day at TimeZone Gaming is when we get new games in. 
Today we added the following to our collection:

From Monopoly family: Futurama, Family Guy, Nintendo, Hello Kitty, World of Warcraft, & Lord of the Rings Trilogy Edition.

Seinfeld Clue (who's going to kill off Newman first?)

From Yahtzee: Futurama, South Park (no killing Kenny!), Nightmare Before Christmas, Super Mario, and Doctor Who for all you Whovians!

We also have Super Mario Memory, Marvel Comics Memory, & Sonic the Hedgehog Memory!

Last, but not least, Space Invaders Jenga! It can only be as awesome as it sounds!

Yu-Gi-Oh Legendary Collection 4 Joey's World at TimeZone Gaming

Friday, October 11th the new Yu-Gi-Oh series is released. Legendary Collection 4: Joey's World is the fourth in the legendary set. This collection features three promo cards, five Legendary Collection 4 Mega-Packs, six tokens and a foldable game board.

The three promotional cards in each box are Joey Wheeler's Blue Flame Swordsman, Mai Valentines's Harpie Lady Phoenix Formation, and Marik Ishtar's Card of Last Will. However, the Card of Last Will is not allowed in official tournaments because of its power level. Still, a very cool card to have.

The six tokens are 4 Sheep tokens and 2 Lamb tokens. The Sheep Tokens were previously a convention exclusive only until now, and the Lamb Tokens have never been released before.

The Mega-Packs will contain various cards. Some of them have already been spoiled. Among them are Sixth Sense (a common which is appearing in the US for the first time), Scapegoat (Secret Rare), Harpie's Pet Dragon (Ultra Rare), and Super Rejuvenation (Super Rare). Boss Monster Dungeon Building Game at TimeZone Gaming

Boss Monster is the new dungeon building card game. It's inspired from classic video games and challenges you to become a villain. By doing so you build a dungeon and lure in your enemies to destroy them. Theros Prerelease at TimeZone Gaming

The new set in Magic the Gathering is just around the corner! Here's your chance to get some product before Theros set is released. Theros Pre-Release is this coming weekend! We will be having sealed events, entry is $25. The times are as follows:

Magic Celebration at TimeZone Gaming

Magic Celebration

On Saturday, September 7th at 1pm, Magic Celebration is taking place at TimeZone Gaming, in Fords, New Jersey. Magic Celebration is a day that all magic players, from beginners to veterans can play Magic for free. This is a special format made specially by Wizards of the Coast for players of all kinds. 

Players will receive a code for downloadable content for the Magic 2014 Duels of the Planeswalkers video game. Each player will get a 2014 Core Set booster pack and an achievement card to keep score. Upon receiving the booster pack, Celebration players will choose a Magic 2014 Core Set Sample deck to add their booster cards to. (Booster packs, Codes and Sample Decks are provided by Wizards of the Coast and are limited, so be sure to arrive early!)

Here's how to play:

Open your booster pack upon entry, and choose a color of cards from your booster pack to play. You then receive a 2014 Core Set Sample deck of the color you chose. Shuffle the color cards you chose from your booster pack into your sample deck. Players will then play three, best out of three matches with different opponents. Once you're done playing all of your matches, hand your achievement card, (score card) to the tournament organizer and you will receive a Magic 2014 Core Set booster pack as a prize!

Krosmaster Arena Now at TimeZone Gaming

Krosmaster Arena is now in stock at TimeZone Gaming! It is a board game that is made for 2-4 players that control teams of warriors from Krosmoz (Dofus and Wakfu's universe). The players will embark on a turn based battle system, trying to claim victory in the arena! The base game contains 8 figures with character cards and 2 exclusives, 1 two-sided game board, over 200 counters, 20 scenery elements, and 8 dice. The game also features expansions that contain extra collectible figures and mini games. There are three expansions: Fire and Ice, Remington Style, and Percimol Rules. My favorite is Ally Mczeal! Nothing beats a cute pixie! Be sure to stop in and get the game and an expansion pack or two! Anyone already have the game? If so who's your favorite character? As always comment below. Yu-Gi-Oh Gen-Con Badge Tournament

This Sunday, July 21st, is Yugioh's Gen-Con Badge Tournament. Sign ups are 12pm and the tournament starts at 1pm. It's $10 entry and players will receive 2 Astral Packs. Per Konami, the event will be administered as a Swiss Draw, Advanced format tournament, with a cut to the Top Four players.
Prizes are as follows:
1st place:  Gen Con Badge Pass and 10 packs of Battle Pack: Epic Dawn
2nd place: 10 packs of Battle Pack: Epic Dawn
3rd and 4th place: 5 packs of Battle Pack: Epic Dawn

Yu-Gi-Oh Number Hunters

Yu-Gi-Oh Number Hunters is on sale, tomorrow Friday, July 12th. The new set consists of 25 new Xyz Monsters, among them being 9 mysterious Number Monsters and 6 new CXyz monsters can be speed summoned by using new Rank-Up-Magic spell cards. The set will also have 14 new Effect Monsters from Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, as well as 6 new Spell/Trap cards, 5 new, (non-Zexal) cards that include famous cards from the original television series. There will also be 10 previously released Zexal cards reprinted as foil cards. This set will also feature new cards for the following archtypes: Butterspy, Chronomaly, Gimmick Puppet, Heroic Challenger, and Number. The set has 40 Super Rares, and 20 Secret Rares. Each booster pack will contain five cards, which consists of 4 Super Rares and 1 Secret Rare. Be sure to stop by TimeZone Gaming to grab your Number Hunters pack before they all sell out. This set has quite the interesting cards like Box of Friends and Princess Cologne (pictured below).

Magic 2014 Pre Release

Every year Wizards of the Coast adds a new core set to Magic the Gathering. This time  it's the release of Magic 2014. As with every set that's released, there comes a worldwide pre-release tournament. TimeZone Gaming of Fords, NJ will be holding the Magic 2014 Pre-Release Tournament on Friday, July 12th until Sunday, July 14th. Pre-release is a sealed deck tournament. Each player will receive six packs of the new Magic 2014, and will then build a 40 card minimum deck. The structure will be Swiss rounds, cut to Top 8. The store will also provide basic lands, but are to be returned to the store as players leave. Each player also receives a Magic 2014 Megantic Sliver Promo Card featured here:

Puppet Wars Unstitched at TimeZone Gaming

Puppet Wars Unstitched is the newest expansion to Puppet Wars. In the world of Malifaux and its strange Bayou, resides the feared Zoraida the Hag, in her hut of voodoo magic and creepy dolls. Players act as a voodoo puppet that is brought to life by arcane energy. By using cards, the players animate the puppets causing them to move, attack and stake claim on spots on the game board. It comes with forty-four plastic models, 2 puppet decks, tokens, a new game board, and rulebook. The game is for 2-3 players, or more if adding additional puppets and cards. After choosing your master puppet, you will then obtain workbenches and construct your puppet army. If your Master is killed, or you lose your work benches, then it's game over. The best part is choosing your Master Puppet. Pick from Lady Justice, Seamus, or Pokey Viktoria, then build your army and begin the Puppet Wars!
